YES-EU brings Farizon electric vans to Finland – aiming for a significant position in the electric commercial vehicle market
YES-EU, which has already delivered around 700 electric buses into service in Finland, will start selling and servicing Farizon electric vans this autumn in four cities: Vantaa, Turku, Tampere and Kuopio. The vehicle technology of the fully electric Farizon SuperVan and V7E models, together with YES-EU’s own service network and charging solutions, makes the transition to an electric fleet possible – from purchasing the vehicle to charging and maintaining it.
The commercial vehicle market is in the middle of a transformation driven by electrification, and YES-EU is expanding into electric vans to meet growing demand. The Farizon range offers companies high payload, all-wheel drive and the cost-efficiency of an electric fleet, along with comprehensive standard equipment, in one package.
“Finnish companies need electric commercial vehicles that do not force them to compromise on practicality. Farizon offers an option for almost every size class, with either front- or all-wheel drive. We strongly believe in the competitiveness of the products in Finland,” says Juha Turunen, Sales Director for vans at YES-EU.
An electric van designed for professional use
Farizon is part of the international Geely group, one of the largest players in the automotive industry. The group is known, among other things, as the owner of Volvo Cars, Polestar and Lotus. Geely’s strong technology, product development and production expertise is also reflected in Farizon’s electric commercial vehicles, which are designed for professional use from the start.
The strengths of the Farizon range include a low loading height, large door openings and an easy-to-use cargo area. These features make everyday work easier, for example in delivery, installation and service tasks. Farizon is the only manufacturer to offer a load monitoring system as standard. The system, included in the SuperVan model, shows the load weight in real time, helping to avoid overloading.
V2L also comes as standard, allowing electrical devices to be used directly from the vehicle, including on construction sites or service locations. Power sockets are also available in the cargo area.
Prices for the SuperVan range start at €50,900 and the V7E range starts at €37,500. Prices include VAT at 25.5% and delivery charges. Both models have an eight-year (or 200,000 km) battery warranty and a five-year (or 200 000 km) basic vehicle warranty.
Years of experience in electric commercial vehicles
YES-EU is known in Finland as the market leader in electric buses, and bringing electric vans to the market continues the company’s long experience in the commercial vehicle sector. In addition to vehicles and extensive service and parts services, the company also offers related charging solutions, battery repairs and financing. A care agreement and life-cycle services are available for all products, making the transition to an electric fleet easier. YES-EU will soon also bring electric trucks to the Finnish market, when the company’s range will cover the entire commercial vehicle fleet together with charging solutions.
“When choosing electric commercial vehicles, customers value above all reliability, service and support. This is also reflected in our market research, according to which 87 per cent of respondents consider the availability of local service and repair services an important factor when choosing a commercial vehicle,” says Juha Turunen.
YES-EU employs around 60 professionals, about 30 of whom are mechanics specialising in electric commercial vehicles who service and repair exclusively electric vehicles every day. Customers are served in four cities in Finland. The aim of the comprehensive network is to ensure that users of electric commercial vehicles get the support they need throughout the vehicle’s life cycle.
”Electrification is also progressing rapidly in the van segment. We believe the market genuinely needs new options and strong players. We have the experience, infrastructure, service network and the desire to make our customers’ transition to electric vehicles easy. Our goal is to grow YES-EU’s position as a provider of complete electric solutions, and we strongly believe in Farizon’s vehicle technology and competitiveness,” says Mikko Kytölä, CEO of YES-EU.
